Resting on Gunsight Peak
This photo was taken during a rare rest. It was a 15 hour day so there were few rests while climbing Gunsight Peak. The trip was 4 days and 55 miles in the wilderness and the trip was mostly void of trails.

Gunsight Peak was a Climbing Junkie Goal
This climb was on a remote granite spire in the middle of the wilderness. I wanted to do this climb for several years, it was on my never shrinking to-do-list. I talked with a couple of climbers and several had interest but nobody was able to coordinate with me to do the climb. The month before, I was climbing in the area just to the north and had some fantastic views of Gunsight...http://www.panoramio.com/photo/80521762. After getting so close to the twin spires in this remote area, I caught the climbing-bug and planned on going solo. My plans changed again when a good climbing buddy had a window of opportunity and decide to go for Gunsight! We had perfect weather,interesting glaciers, rockclimbing and route finding. Much of the trip is off trail and we did not see another person for 4 days. On the way out we split up each going out differently to our cars.
