Upper Bannock Lake

This is one of the Bannock Lakes that has emerged from the Ice Age. It is just under 6000 feet in elevation. Lower lakes are usually warmer and melt earlier, but not the Lower Bannock Lakes. This upper lake being exposed to the sun is now ice free part of the year and you can see how a delta is importing silt and filling the inlet and creating meadows.
