Dragontail

This trip Ean and I climbed a total of three peaks. This was taken from the summit of Dragontail, and is in the 100 highest peaks of Washington State. The exposure is extreme and to step out onto the flake takes very steady nerves, even with no wind. It was not a windy day! 

Climbing Junkie Story 
I have climbed this summit several times and have always enjoyed the views from the summit. Below is Colchuck Lake which has brilliant turquoise colors.

It is not always easy to coordinate with other climbers. You each must have time off at the same time, good weather... Frequently a plan is dashed to pieces by The Phone Call; I can't make it because.... and thus you go out solo on plan B. Sometimes I get lazy and just climb alone while trying to coordinate The Big Ones now and then. 

This week I was out on my own again and likewise was Ean. We met on the way into the mountains and stuck together to accomplish some climbs. I was really glad for the company and several of the photos came out better then I expected. It is almost like we planned it that way, but it was all by chance.
